Tim was born in 1947 in Barnard Castle, County Durham but spent some of his childhood in Singapore where his father was in the Colonial Police Force. When he retired (and probably because he was an Aylsham lad) the family finally settled back in Norfolk choosing a village right in the heart of Broadland.
It was here that Tim’s bedroom became a studio – a fact not really appreciated by his parents at the time – and the countryside around became his inspiration. Tim could lose himself in the wonderful landscapes with its windmills, sailing wherries and the beautiful expanse of ever changing skies.
Tim began to experience the pleasure of putting brush to canvas . His ambition to make painting his full-time career is now fulfilled and he is finding excitement and challenges of painting in both oils and watercolours. Following four major exhibitions in Norfolk his paintings are now all over the world, reminding their owners of their visit to East Anglia.
Tim hopes that his pictures will give future owners as much pleasure as he has had in painting them.
