Lawrence Scantlebury (1882- 1945) Exhibited Norfolk & Norwich Art Circle 1923-1924

Lawrence Scantlebury was born in Stoke Climsland, Cornwall on September 25th 1882. At the Age of 18 he was apprenticed to an Architect Ernest Wise in Launceston, Cornwall. He Married Elizabeth Beatrice Knight and had three children. In 1939 he was living in Rose Lane, Norwich giving his occupation as Architectural Draftsman. He is listed as exhibiting his paintings from 1923 – 1924 in the Norfolk & Norwich Art Circle. Lawrence Scantlebury died on September 1st 1945 at Chippenham, Wiltshire.
